THANK YOU!
The LEF is the only entity certified to train D.A.R.E. Officers.
Cost for training an Officer: The cost of training an Officer to teach both the elementary and middle school curriculum is $2,900. All Officers must be certified in the elementary and middle school curriculum before receiving additional training to teach the senior high program. Tuition to become certified to teach senior high is $1,700 per Officer. The LEF picks up the cost of D.A.R.E. Officer trainings, at no cost to the departments, in addition to the yearly retrainers required for all D.A.R.E. Officers before the start of every school year. The Law Enforcement Foundation is not a government sponsored agency.
Police Executive Leadership & Management Training Programs The Law Enforcement Foundation shares your goal of improving the quality of life for local citizens. Police Officers are the first line of defense in keeping streets safe and citizens protected. Police Officers who are promoted from the patrol car to a management position in the department are faced with new challenges and seek affordable and highly effective education to learn the new skills needed.
PELC: Often compared to the FBI Training Academy, the Police Education Leadership College is a highly intensive program highly sought after by police executives across the state. It provides comprehensive leadership and management training for police executives to ensure a quality and effective departmental management approach. The cost for training an Officer in PELC is $1500.00.
